"Thank you again for your support of our National Science Foundation 'Science Education and Workforce Development' Conference at the Washington Convention Center, January 14-16, 2008... Clients and attendees only see the end result of long hours of preparation that go into making an event successful. The contributions of the staff at the Convention Center are too often overlooked unless there is a problem. I want you to know that I recognize and appreciate the invaluable contribution you had in the success of our conference. I was very impressed with the professionalism all the Convention Center's employees exhibited in appearance and demeanor. I was also impressed with the attentiveness to the performance of their job... I know we must have driven you mad, Kathy, with all of the late requests and changes to the original plan. I apologize if we were at times "high maintenance." You handled all of our requests in stride, and with great patience and professionalism. I was very impressed with the way your crew had set up the electrical connections within Room 145. It made our set-up much easier, and proved a real time savings.
